Receptet på Löfstadpepparkakor har upptecknats av Gunborg Karlsson vars mormor Hulda Svensson arbetade i slottsköket under fröken Emily Pipers tid på Löfstad. Av denna sats blir cirka 100 kakor.
160 g smör
160 g socker(knappt 2 dl)
160 sirap(drygt 1 dl)
1,6 dl vispad tjock grädde
1 tsk mald ingefära
1 tsk malda nejlikor
1 tsk mald kanel
2 krm mald kardemumma
1 tsk bikarbonat
2 krm cedroolja
cirka 1 liter vetemjöl
1/2 äggula
Beredning: Alla ingredienser blandas väl till en fast deg som får vila svalt ½ dygn.(Spara en del av mjölet till utbakningen.) Degen kavlas ut tunt. Kakorna tages ut med mått i form av hjärtan och grisar. Gräddas vackert bruna i medelgod ugnsvärme, cirka 200o, 4-5 minuter.
