15 cl. vatten.
Rabarberstjelkarne skalas, vägas och skäras i små stycken. Vattnet kokas sakta 10 minuter med sockret, stjelkarne iläggas att sakta koka 10 minuter. Stundom behöfves något längre tid tills de blifva mjuka, hvilket beror af växtens ålder. För finare ändamål användes hvitt vin.
- Om stjelkarne äro mycket sura, ökas sockret efter smak
